In July BiM made a move towards producing more workshop and nature based events, by helping with a two day Five Rhythms Retreat mediated by artist Christian De Sousa. (See Dancing Eye .net) We provided Production, Camp and 'on the fire' Catering services.
We are moving further towards providing well catered for, safe and naturally stunning environments for Yoga, Chi Gong, Dance and Contact camps.

The summer season has seen a momentary focus on performance, blossom into a great series of events. Bim Performers and DJs hosted the Kids Party at Bimberly '08; A host of twentyfold performers took over the entrance of the Secret Garden Party '08, bringing Womens Institute tea and scones, Nymphs, Sirens and Satyrs and a series of 9ft Giant Pillars of Colour characters, to a bemused but welcome crowd of Festival arrivals; and Shamabla '08's main stage saw the obscure, stupid and worldly sounds of Being in Motion's own Freddy the Dirty Monkey pump out between acts like Ghanain Gabba Funk and Jamaican legend Horace Andy.
The Thames Festival's Green Man Stage next to Tower Bridge on the 13th, 14th Sept beckons some more walk about...

2 year research and development tour in SE Asia and the Australasia.
Not satisfied with the bulging talent of Europe and the UK, Being in Motion heads off to India, SE Asia and Australasia for '08-'09 to scope out potential for overseas BiM festivals, up and coming talent from the third world and international collaborations. In short a broadening of horizons and a new perspective for a young and hungry company!

In the heart of Potter’s Fields Park there will be a beautifully decorated stage presented by Green Man in association with Resurgence, The Gaia Foundation, The Ecologist and Being in Motion Arts.
This solar and wind powered stage features a fantastic programme of inspirational speeches, engaging performances and live music. Speakers already confirmed include Vandana Shiva, a leading figure in the global environmental activist movement, Satish Kumar, editor of Resurgence Magazine, Michael Meacher, the Labour party’s leading figure on environmental issues, and Fred Pearce, environmental journalist and author. There are also great live bands bringing the best from world and folk music, including Baka Beyond, Dragonsfly and Soothsayers, and an array of artistic performances that will bring a fresh, fun and engaging perspective to current environmental issues.
